Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekend and holiday rotation required (half of all weekends Friday/Saturday/Sunday; half of winter holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients
• Perform obstetric triage and serve as the primary delivery/transition nurse (baby catcher/transition nurse role)
• Titrate drips including Pitocin and monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring (OBIX system)
• Manage postpartum patients and newborns; provide care for gynecologic surgical patients as needed
• Function as charge nurse when assigned, taking a patient assignment as one of two nurses on shift
• Occasionally assist with medical-surgical unit needs on a rare, as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience with LDRP training
• Current BLS/ALS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
• Must be available and present in-state for the full week of unit orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital setting
• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines
• Experience with OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system
