Career Strategy Consultants is seeking a CNC Burner / Operator D for a large steel manufacturing and processing client in Clarington, Ohio .

This position is responsible for processing steel plate and parts using CNC burning equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer specifications. The CNC Burner/Operator will load and run CNC programs, perform material layouts, verify finished dimensions, complete required inspections, and operate material-handling equipment as needed.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position well suited for someone with experience around CNC equipment, steel fabrication, welding, burning/torch operations, or heavy manufacturing .

Key Responsibilities

• Load programs into CNC burning equipment.
• Lay out material and run CNC programs according to job requirements.
• Square torches to material and properly set up equipment for cutting.
• Verify completed plates and parts meet required dimensional specifications.
• Complete required inspection documentation and enter information into the ERP system.
• Clean and maintain CNC equipment and surrounding work areas.
• Operate overhead cranes as needed to move material.
• Perform general labor and equipment operator duties as assigned.
• Follow all required safety procedures while operating production equipment.

CNC Beveling Responsibilities

As assigned, the CNC Burner/Operator may also:

• Process flame-cut steel parts using portable track-burning equipment.
• Read job orders and prints to determine layout requirements.
• Lay out dimensions on material according to customer specifications.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate hand torches.
• Welding capabilities.
• Experience operating hand tools, grinders, and similar equipment.
• Ability to operate cranes and forklifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous welding and/or torch experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment.
