Per Diem Math Educational Consultant (High School)

The Per Diem Math Educational Consultant (High School) is a vital onsite resource for Savvas Learning Company, dedicated to fostering sustainable improvement in educational districts and schools. This role involves delivering essential content and providing professional development tailored to enhance classroom practices for both individual educators and teams. Your primary responsibilities will include offering professional development and technical assistance to schools that collaborate with Savvas, ensuring the integration of innovative strategies into their teaching methodologies. Ideal candidates will possess deep academic knowledge, experience in standards-based reform, and a proven history of delivering impactful job-embedded professional development using Savvas products and evidence-based teaching methods. Key Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of proven teaching experience in a High School (9-12) environment. Preference for candidates familiar with Savvas products and those skilled in coaching teachers and leaders effectively.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Classroom Implementation: Effectively apply and manage program components, from instructional philosophy to daily lesson organization. Differentiate instruction tailored to individual student needs. Utilize data tools to inform instruction and support decision-making processes. Coaching and Modeling: Guide teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies. Adapt coaching approaches based on specific teacher and student requirements. Observation and Feedback: Monitor classroom practices post-training to assess the adoption of Savvas methodologies. Provide constructive feedback to educators to enhance implementation. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics to inform instructional practices. Administrative Support: Assist school leaders in recognizing and addressing program implementation needs. Communicate regular updates with school and district administrators.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required; Master's degree is preferred. Experience in conducting workshops and coaching educators. Proficient in classroom technology integration and differentiated educational practices. Strong collaboration abilities and knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment standards. Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience supporting English Language Learners and students with disabilities. Preferred certification in bilingual education. Familiarity with virtual teaching methodologies.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Ability to manage a high workload in a fast-paced environment. Dependable attendance and punctuality.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including airline and automotive travel. Reliable transportation is necessary for this role. Full-Day Professional Development: $550.00 per 6-hour session. Half-Day Professional Development: $275.00 per 3-hour session. 1-Hour Session (Webinar): $120.00 per session. Travel: $160/day (Onsite only). Administrative: $20/hour. Internal Training: $30/hour. This role offers eligibility for sick leave and participation in a 401(k) plan with company matching.
