Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

This position is open due to a backfill for a departing Medical Assistant, and we are looking for someone who will contribute positively to the team and patient experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examination
• Clean and maintain exam rooms
• Perform instrument sterilization
• Complete disability and FMLA paperwork
• Handle prescription call-ins
• Prepare pre-operative paperwork
• Manage pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures
• Schedule patient appointments
• Conduct phone triage
• Assist with CT scan setup and patient preparation
• Order medical and office supplies
• Support surgery scheduling (backup support)
• Assist physicians and follow clinical direction
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinic manager

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet, practice management software)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Experience completing medical-related documentation and paperwork
• Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
