The Registered Dental Hygienist will work primarily in a private practice environment, providing essential oral care services under the direct supervision of dentists. This role involves managing a moderate patient caseload, typically 5-10 patients per day, ensuring high standards of patient care through thorough assessments, cleanings, and education on oral health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments to determine dental hygiene needs
• Perform professional dental cleanings and prophylaxis
• Provide oral health education and promote preventive care
• Administer dental X-rays following safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment details
• Implement infection control procedures to ensure a sterile environment
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental equipment
• Assist in treatment planning in collaboration with dentists
• Communicate effectively with dentists and support staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene
• Proficiency in dental radiography
• Strong patient communication skills
• Knowledge of infection control procedures
