Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as:Document patient symptoms in EMRTake and record vital signsAdminister injectionsPerform diagnostic testsCollect specimens and draw bloodSterilize equipmentMaintain examination roomsOther tasks as assignedRequired:Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderPhlebotomy experienceMedication/vaccine administration experienceCPR CertifiedWe consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.Preferred:Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina you require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration) Bilingual in English and SpanishValue-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00You will report to the Center AdministratorLocation: 514 SE Port St. Lucie Blvd Port Saint Lucie, FL 34984Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
