Description: Please ensure your traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to remain at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. Daily census averages 29. Weekends are covered every other week (4 per 13-week contract). Patient diagnoses include migraines, seizures, chest pain, spinal abscesses, and multiple sclerosis. Special procedures involve post spinal surgery and post stroke care. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams. Must be comfortable working with adults and geriatrics. No call-ins are permitted. Request for time off must be part of the interview. References are not required for submission, but two manager/supervisor references will be required for contract clearance. NURSYS reports for RNs must be submitted and kept up to date within four weeks of the submission date. Resources who have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the organization for one full year before returning.
