Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred Acute care facility experience is preferred Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote health in a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and caring patient care. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
