Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms as part of routine patient assessment
• Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care activities and clinical findings accurately using facility electronic health record systems
• Participate in holiday scheduling blocks as required, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required and must be in hand at profile submission
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required and must be in hand at profile submission
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required and must be in hand at profile submission
• Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit required
• Must have personal reliable transportation
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system highly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
