Neuroradiologist - Tampa, FL - Radiology Associates Of Florida

We seek a full-time neuroradiologist to join us in Tampa, FL at Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) in an academic role. We serve Tampa General Hospital - a stroke center of excellence and collaborate with our other RAF divisions around the state to offer candidates an optimal study mix. We perform a full breadth of neuroradiology examinations, including in the domains of trauma, stroke (including CT perfusion with RAPID software), oncology, dementia, movement disorders, as well as functional MRI. Our ideal candidate is a fellowship-trained neuroradiologist with comfort in general radiology. We are affiliated with the University of South Florida and candidate's have the opportunity for faculty appointment. We have 8 residents a year and one neuroradiology fellow. Our ideal candidate has an interest in teaching neuroradiology, particularly to the fellow. Dedicated didactic lectures are not required but are welcome. Mammography is not required, but participation in breast imaging is available if desired. Procedures are not required, but radiologists will be accommodated if they would like to maintain proficiency in lumbar punctures and myelography. We have a team-based style of practice, and our next neuroradiologist will be able to collaborate with an experienced team of subspecialists. The workdays are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. RAF enjoys a low volume of weekend duty, with an average of only 10 days per year of weekend shifts. We offer an internal moonlighting program with unmatched flexibility, allowing radiologists to moonlight from home as much or as little as they prefer, without having to commit to extra shifts. LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW RAF is the largest radiology practice in Florida. We serve the most prestigious, established health systems in the state, including on the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys. We are the teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa. In Sarasota, our physicians staff the Florida State University College of Medicine, hosting medical students in their 3rd and 4th years. We also invite residents from the FSU Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency programs to rotate in our departments. DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Fellows and residents welcome to apply Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology Completed one year of post-residency fellowship training in neuroradiology MQSA Preferred, but not required Medical license or the ability to obtain a license in the state of FL COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $500,000-$1,000,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
