Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM 3:30 PM), 10-hour shifts, and 24-hour shifts available; Day shift required; Weeknight on-call (pager) required; Weekend on-call (pager) preferred; Overtime not expected; Assignment duration: 26 weeks; Target start date: August 10, 2026
• Job Setting: Hospital
• Types of Cases: General, Orthopedic, OB, Pediatrics
• Credentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe: 30 days; Accelerated/Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification required
• Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia; M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician; Candidates needing to obtain Pennsylvania state licensure will be considered
