Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Mid Shifts (10:45 AM – 11:15 PM) | Days

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center OR, performing both scrub and circulator roles across a wide range of surgical specialties including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, and bariatric procedures
• Operate and assist with DaVinci robotic surgical systems
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio caring for adult and geriatric populations
• Participate in rotational weekend shifts and on-call coverage, including one weekend call per 4-week period; must be available to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of being called in
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within the OR specialty and to a sister campus as needed based on departmental requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2–3 years of OR nursing experience; strong general OR and robotics experience required for candidates with 2 years
• Proficiency in both scrub and circulator roles
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a permanent address 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (AHA only) preferred
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including trauma, robotics, and cardiovascular procedures
• First-time travelers with strong general OR and robotics backgrounds will be considered
