About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: Relevant Certifications Preferred Must-Have: One year of experience in cath lab, electrophysiology lab, interventional radiology, or operating room. Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the PACU. The shift will be from 04:45 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, with three 12-hour shifts. No call requirements are associated with this position. The PACU unit has a total of 6 electrophysiology labs. The staffing consists of a dedicated team, including 18 lab staff members and a charge nurse on day shift. Working in this unit requires flexibility with daily case fluctuations and changes. Cohesiveness with team members is essential for success. The equipment used in the unit includes advanced mapping systems. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include ablations, device implants, device extractions, and structural heart procedures. Candidates will be considered based on their experience and fit within the team dynamic. A professional dress code is expected, with blue scrubs provided by the facility. This position offers an opportunity to work with new equipment and technology.
