Position Duration: Permanent, full-time

Shift: 7.5 or 5.5 (minimum) 24-hour shifts per month

Hours/Week: 37.5 hours

Employment Type: Full-time

Licenses/Certs: Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN, Texas medical license required

Experience: Previous OB hospitalist experience preferred

Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (equivalent to approx. $292,000 annually with full schedule)

What You'll Do

• Manage high-volume OB admissions, including labor, deliveries, and postpartum care
• Attend approximately 1,924 deliveries annually, including vaginal and C-section births
• Collaborate with neonatologists, MFM specialists, and NICU staff to care for high-risk pregnancies and neonatal patients
• Conduct OB triage, outpatient consults, and handle emergency gynecological issues
• Assist with surgical procedures, including Cesarean sections
• Respond promptly to labor and delivery emergencies
• Provide inpatient care and support for unassigned patients and private call coverage

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Texas medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Ability to start immediately or soon thereafter

Preferred:

• Prior hospitalist experience in OB/GYN
• Experience working in Level II NICU settings
• Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
