Gentiva Hospice

Gentiva Hospice of Murfreesboro is looking for direct patient care volunteers to provide non-medical support to hospice patients and their families. They can provide caregiver relief, light housekeeping, light meal preparation, and/or assist with errands. All of these kind gestures will mean a lot to our hospice patients and their loved ones. Volunteers are usually assigned at least two patients and visit weekly or biweekly, either in patients' homes or at the facility where they reside. We are also looking for administrative volunteers to help in the office with filing, answering phones, organization, and putting admission packets together. Background checks, drug screening, and tb testing are all required: however, costs are covered by the company. The onboarding process takes about two weeks , from the interview to the assignment of a volunteer's first patient, as we provide orientation/training. If you are dependable, consistent, caring and have great communication skills, this opportunity is for you! No medical background is necessary. We cover Bedford, Cannon, and Rutherford Counties.
