Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that align with client needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to fit individual client profiles.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, instilling knowledge on treatment options and self-care practices to promote recovery.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies in response to evolving needs and goals.

• Facilitate collaboration with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.

• Engage continuously with research and developments in the field of mood disorders, integrating new insights into your practice.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster collaborative problem solving and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clinical expertise will be directed towards supporting individuals struggling with mood disorders, which may also include assisting vulnerable populations such as refugees, the homeless, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will allow you to facilitate healing while fostering a sense of trust and security among diverse client backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A current, active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
