Litigation Attorney

Glast Phillips Murray Zopolsky is seeking a Litigation Attorney with Insurance Defense and/or Commercial Litigation experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Texas Insurance defense and/or commercial litigation experience strongly preferred Strong analytical, legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills Strong organizational and case management skills with attention to deadlines and detail Experience handling hearings, depositions, mediations, and client communications Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

Litigation Strategy & Case Management Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys Maintain ownership of deadlines, court settings, discovery obligations, and client reporting Drafting & Advocacy Draft substantive motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation proceedings Effectively advocate for clients in both written and oral presentations Discovery & Depositions Manage all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and document review Take and defend depositions of parties, witness, and experts Analyze case evidence and develop strategic approaches to discovery and litigation positioning Court Appearances Appear in state and federal courts, mediations, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and trials Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts Trial preparation, witness preparation, and courtroom strategy Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with litigation team members on case strategy and client service WORK ENVIRONMENT Full-time, preferably onsite position in a collaborative office environment, with some flexibility to work remotely Team-oriented culture with accessible leadership and mentorship opportunities Supportive litigation team with experienced attorneys and paralegal staff who value collaboration, responsiveness, and high-quality work product Firm culture that promotes long-term development, autonomy, and career advancement BENEFITS Competitive base salary (i.e., varies depending on experience) Merit-based bonus structure 401K Student loan and tuition reimbursement plan Full benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance PTO / Vacation Hours Paid annual dues for Texas State Bar Glast Phillips Murray Zopolsky is committed to positioning attorneys for long-term success.
