Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor

Summary This position is located at the Ft Peck Service Unit, in the Transportation Office, under the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) Department. The purpose of this position is to function as the Transportation Supervisor for The Ft Peck Service Unit in Poplar, MT. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021). Responsibilities Supervises Motor Vehicle Operators. Approves leave and timecards, prepares schedules and initiates any other personnel action. Schedules and dispatches motor vehicles for transportation of patients, staff and material to and from Service Unit. Ensures all GSA vehicles are properly maintained. Orders supplies for Vehicles and housekeeping. Ensures all hospital, clinic, and dental areas are cleaned and kept up to accreditation rules and regulations. Incumbent must submit to and successfully pass a urinalysis drug screening prior to appointment. The Incumbent will also be subject to unannounced random drug testing for the duration of their time in this position. Appointment to the position will be contingent upon a negative applicant drug test result and be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug testing upon hiring. Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment. A background investigation is a standard process used by the Federal Government to verify an individual's identity, employment history, education, and other relevant information to determine suitability for Federal service. Upon receipt of instructions, applicants must complete all required background investigation forms within five (5) calendar days of issuance. Timely completion is critical to avoid delays in processing or a determination of unsuitability. Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. This position is ineligible for the Bargaining Unit.
