This contract-based position is designed for a dedicated PT skilled in navigating the unique needs of school environments. Enjoy a dynamic role near Falls Village, CT, focusing on consultative services and occasional direct intervention with students at HVRHS.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, a passion for empowering students, and comfort with autonomous decision-making. Collaboration with school teams is key, and this position does not require (and cannot accommodate) oversight of a physical therapist assistant.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut
- Experience providing PT services in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Exceptional communication and consultation skills
- Able to independently manage workflow without PTA oversight
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide physical therapy consultations for students
- Deliver occasional one-on-one or small group PT interventions for students at HVRHS
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment recommendations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state standards
- Adapt to a flexible schedule based on student and school needs
