RME Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II
This role supports the operations maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging systems, and pneumatic systems within a high-volume distribution environment. The Maintenance Technician II works hands-on with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical components to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to support continuous operations.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment, including conveyors and related mechanical systems.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and associated components.
- Support maintenance activities on hydraulic systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs on equipment as needed, following safety procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they cause failures.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operations team members to prioritize work and resolve equipment issues.
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience working with mechanical systems in an industrial or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting air leaks and component failures.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their maintenance, including pumps, hoses, and actuators.
- Ability to perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, and replacements on material handling equipment.
- Basic electrical skills sufficient to assist with troubleshooting and repair of equipment components.
- Experience working with or around robotics or automated systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information related to mechanical and automation equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing equipment issues.
- Commitment to working safely around mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or similar automated facility.
- Comfort working with a mix of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional maintenance and operations teams.

Work Environment
This position operates in a large, fast-paced distribution facility with automated material handling and packaging equipment. You will work directly with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems, as well as robotics and automation technologies. The role involves hands-on work around moving machinery and requires adherence to safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Work may include standing, walking, and working at heights or in tight spaces, depending on equipment location, and may involve shift-based schedules aligned with facility operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coppell, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
