Production Team Lead

Team Leader Job Summary:

The Team Leader leads and supports a production or operational team to achieve safety, quality, and delivery targets while promoting continuous improvement and team development.

Team Leader Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team to meet daily production or operational targets

• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

• Monitor quality, productivity, and performance

• Allocate work and manage priorities to meet schedules

• Coach, support, and develop team members

• Conduct team briefings, handovers, and communications

• Identify and escalate safety, quality, or equipment issues

• Support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities

• Complete basic people and production administration

• Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers

Team Leader Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment

• Ability to supervise or lead others

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Good communication and organisational skills

Team Leader Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience

• Experience managing production teams

• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Team Leader Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

• People leadership and coaching skills

• Operational decision-making ability

• Strong communication and teamwork

• Organised, proactive, and results-focused mindset

Job Conditions

• Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment

• Subject to noise and temperature changes
