Job Title: Delivery Driver

Location: Flat Rock, NC

Job Description:

• Safe Vehicle Operation – Ensure the safe and responsible operation of deliver vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This includes performing pre-trip inspections to check for mechanical issues and ensuring that the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Timely Deliveries – Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery. This involves planning routes to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
• Package Handling – Safely load and unload packages and pallets, ensuring that there is no damage.
• Customer Interaction – Provide excellent customer service. This includes greeting customers polity and professionally, answering any questions and addressing any concerns. This may also include suggestions for improvements or insights into customer preferences.
• Documentation and Record Keeping – Maintain accurate record for all deliveries including delivery times and customer signatures.
• Inventory Management – Vendor Managed inventory where applicable.
• Problem Solving – Quickly address and resolve any issues that arise during deliveries
• Compliance with Company Policies – Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding deliveries, safety, and customer service.
• Vehicle Maintenance – Perform routine maintenance checks on delivery vehicle, including checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels. Report any issues that may arise.
• Team Collaboration – Work collectively with plant operations to ensure scheduled deliveries are complete and prepared for delivery to include all required paperwork.
• Flexibility – Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to changing requirements which may include last minute deliveries.
• Customer Relations – Foster positive relationships with all customers regardless of the position they may hold. This position is the Amabassador for Precision Label, the company.
• Professional Appearance – Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.

Skills Required:

• Annual Standard DOT Physical. CDL is not required.

Soft Skills:

• The Delivery Drive does not encompass a full-time schedule. When not delivering, the other time will be spent on plant cross training on Maintenance, Slitting Operations, Press Operations, and Warehouse activities.
