RN State Hospital - Denver

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well‑being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable. Local Pay: $60/hr Travel Pay: $2,531 gross weekly for 36 hours $3,431 gross weekly for 48 hours Setting: Psych Hospital Location: Denver, CO Hours: 36/48 hour rotating schedule Orientation is 40 hours for the first 2 weeks on day shift Notes: must have 1 year of inpatient psych experience Start: 1st and 3rd week of every month with the exception of July and December only having one start date Contract Length: 13 or 24 weeks Minimum Requirements Current Registered Nurse Licensure in‑state practicing Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x‑ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
