Mortgage Loan Closer

Location : 100% Remote (U.S. only, EST hours required) Duration : 6-month Contract-to-Hire Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer to join a regional bank in a fully remote capacity. This role operates on Eastern Standard Time hours and requires flexibility to work overtime during peak volume periods. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to convert to a full-time role after six months. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and deliver accurate Closing Disclosures (CDs) and complete closing packages Coordinate closely with processors, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to ensure timely and efficient closings Ensure compliance with all applicable lending regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and tolerance guidelines Handle loan changes such as loan amount adjustments and rate extensions Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Work extended hours when required based on business volume Required Skills 3–10+ years of experience as a mortgage loan closer Encompass (LOS) experience is required Proven experience managing loans from initial disclosure through Closing Disclosure (CD) Strong experience with conventional, FHA, and refinance loans Hands-on experience preparing and issuing Closing Disclosures and full closing packages Deep understanding of TRID, RESPA, and tolerance rules Strong work ethic with a proactive, customer-focused mindset Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Nice to Have Familiarity with closing loans in New York and Texas Experience with CEMA or SONYMA closings Background in closing construction loans #J-18808-Ljbffr Heitmeyer Consulting
