Job SummaryThe Operations Manager provides direct support to both Branch and Regional Managers, assisting with key operational responsibilities. This role also serves as the primary backup for the Branch Manager, ensuring continuity in daily operations when needed.Essential DutiesGeneral Branch AdministrationBasic understanding of branch Profit and Loss (PnL) statementResponsible for following proper administrative procedures such as purchase orders, billing paperwork, invoices, work receipts, etc.Service OperationsDispatching and scheduling of all field operationsResponsible for accurate and timely submission of all paperwork including work receipts for field staff, billing worksheets, purchase orders, change orders, petty cash reports, expense reports, accident reports and all paperwork assignedEstimating, planning and project management responsibility, ensuring customers are provided with compliant and accurate traffic control estimates, plans, and services in the required timeframeCo‐operate with sub‐contractors on the work progressProduct Sales & RentalsResponsible for all aspects of inventory controls and reporting (monthly at a minimum)Take the initiative to propose solutions for enhanced inventory methodsand if necessary, staffing for better overall inventory controlsAccountable for petty cash fund that is issued to the branch office and ensuring submission ofmonthly Petty Cash Report to corporate office with backup.Responsible for any paperwork related to inventory, sales, rentals and rental equipmentEmployee Development & RecruitmentEnsure a professional, stimulating and supportive work environment in the field and officeRecruitment, training, cross‐training and development of all staffConduct employee performance reviews during the 90-day probationary period, at the 6-month, and annually, providing recommendations for salary and development initiativesEmployee reprimands, counseling, suspensions, and terminations as approved by corporate officeFacilities & FleetResponsible for facility maintenance, security, and safetyEnsure compliance with OSHA standardsResponsible for facility’s image, appearance, and organizationWith approval from the corporate office, set up all vendor and utility accountsObtain permits and licenses as required as well as being responsible for all permit checks issued to branch officeResponsible for all aspects of fleet management, maintenance, and reporting as directed by the corporate office and the TML Fleet ManagerSafetyResponsible for all areas of safety including operations being performed in the field.Drive safety initiatives including regular safety meetings, OSHA compliance, OSHA reporting forms (300A, etc.), training of all staff and other initiatives as directed by management to maintain an excellent safety recordConduct bi‐weekly safety meetings to reinforce safety commitment and trainingEnsure timely treatment for all work-related injuries and/or illnesses sustained by TML employeesResponsible for timely reporting of all work-related injury and/or illnesses sustained byTML employees to corporate office, including completion of required reportRequired KnowledgeHigh level knowledge of MUTCD guidelines and regulationsBudget AnalysisProfit and Loss AnalysisProven record of analyzing and bringing efficiencies to operationsEquipment OperatedVehicles (Trucks/Cars) of various sizesFlatbed trucksTrailer mounted warning signsCones, delineators, drums, barricades, signs and various other traffic control devicesTrailerPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentRequires standing for prolonged periods of timeRequires lifting up 50lbRequires using hands to handle, control or lift objectsRequires being outside and exposed to environmental conditionsRequires being in construction environmentRequires repetitive movementExposure to work near moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment and moving vehicular trafficExposure to reasonable noise levelsEducation and ExperienceCollege degree in construction management or any related field or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experienceMinimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in constructionThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other duties such as assigned by management as required.
