Air Export & Import Operation Supervisor

General Summary This position is responsible for supervising the logistics and inventory functions to ensure smooth operations, supporting the staff in the assigned branch office as the supervisor. Essential Job Functions: Primary Job Functions 70% Coordinates Logistics Processes Investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account the perishable or hazardous nature of goods, cost, transit time, and security Arranging appropriate packing, taking into account the climate, terrain, weight, cost, and nature of goods, as well as the delivery and warehousing of goods at their final destination Negotiating contracts, transportation, and handling costs Obtaining, checking, and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with other countries' regulations and fiscal regimes Offering consolidation services by air, sea, and road, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions to small shippers who have insufficient cargo to require their own dedicated units Arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim Arranging courier and specialist hand-carry services Coordinating with Customs Broker and/or US Customs House when needed Providing other general support regarding shipping and logistics coordination as needed, including pick and pack, inspection at warehouse or airport, and customer's warehouse Providing and learning TSA regulations as a sub-coordinator to become a TSA coordinator #J-18808-Ljbffr Interplace, Inc.
