We are a highly rated private practice looking for an experienced Dental Assistant (RDA preferred) to support a high quality and efficient dentist. This is a part-time position ( approx. 22 paid hours/week ) with top-of-market pay that reflects the level of service and skill required.
Schedule
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- (1-hour lunch)
About the Role
You'll be the assistant to a sole provider at a boutique PPO office. You'll anticipate needs, turn over rooms quickly, and deliver excellent four-handed chairside assistance across general and cosmetic procedures.
What You'll Do
- Manage patient flow and chairside support
- Provide high quality service and exceptional customer service
- Set up and break down operatories quickly and stay ahead of the schedule
- Assist with a full range of general and cosmetic procedures
- Take digital X-rays and CBCT scans, plus intraoral scans and impressions
- Explain post-op instructions and answer patient questions with warmth and clarity
- Maintain thorough electronic charting
- Follow OSHA and infection control standards, manage sterilization turnover, and track lab cases
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of chairside experience, ideally in a service oriented high quality practice
- Active California RDA license , OR an experienced DA with required California course certificates (8-hr Infection Control, 2-hr Dental Practice Act), current X-ray certification, and CPR/BLS (coronal polish is a plus)
- Strong time management and calm under pressure
- Clear communication and a team-first attitude
- Dependable attendance for every scheduled shift
