Powder Coat Painter

Job TitleIndividual will use various painting techniques that will include but are not limited to powder coat, wet paint spraying, various materials. Material preparation such as cleaning, masking, among other techniques is required.ResponsibilitiesPrepare parts for coatingFollow all principles and practices of powder coating applicationOperate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systemsObserve machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defectsDetermine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometersBake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitationsKnowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pretreatmentsEnsure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performanceEnsure quality standards and processes are used throughout facilityEnsure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environmentLoad and unload parts or product onto fixturesGood knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipmentProper cleaning and maintenance of equipmentExpectationsThis position is often responsible for the last quality check for a finished part the customer receives it, so attention to detail and due diligence is imperative.
