Occupational Health Advanced Practice Nurse Or Physician Assistant

The Occupational Health Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN/PA works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Provide care to patients in the Metropark Occupational Health Dept. Preference for prior Occupational Health experience.

Responsibilities include performing and documenting accurate, complete, and relevant history and physical assessments appropriate for the patient's age, gender, and clinical problem. Ordering, performing, and interpreting laboratory tests and diagnostic studies/procedures in collaboration with physicians and consultants as appropriate. Managing general medical and surgical conditions based on comprehensive knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and the indications and contraindications of pharmacologic agents and other treatment modalities. Prescribing medication safely and effectively in accordance with best practices, hospital policy, and NJ regulations, providing patient education as needed.

Qualifications include a graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, a Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, and maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice. Licenses and certifications required include NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License, Advance Practice Nurse License, BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification, and Board certified by AANP or ANCC.

Compensation is a minimum rate of $146,348.80 annually. Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
