Software Engineer, Agentic Search Systems

Role Overview

Help shape the conversation around production search systems, with a focus on agentic search in the LLM era. This opportunity is designed for engineers who can discuss how search quality, evaluation, system requirements, and optimization decisions play out in real-world products.

Key Responsibilities

• Share practical experience owning relevance or retrieval for systems used by real customers.
• Explain how you measured impact and evaluated improvements to search systems.
• Discuss systems you have built for agentic search.
• Describe how you scaled data infrastructure to support modern search experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production search systems, particularly agentic search systems.
• Strong understanding of the requirements and optimizations involved in LLM- and agent-enabled search.
• Ability to speak specifically about search-quality decisions, evaluation methods, tradeoffs, and lessons from real implementations.

Work Terms

• Remote, per-task engagement.
• The initial step is a 25-minute conversational interview with no coding exercise or take-home assignment.
• Selected candidates may be invited to a paid 30-minute live conversation with the team.

Compensation

• Per-task compensation range: $80 to $150.
• The follow-up live conversation pays $200 upon completion of the call.
