School Psychologist

School Psychologist (Grades K -12) POSITION GOAL: Provide assistance to assigned schools with psychological evaluations, instructional and behavioral consultation, crisis intervention, and staff development activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide psychological assessments and written reports. Provide consultation to teachers regarding instructional, behavioral, and social interventions. Provide crisis intervention and short‑term counseling. Provide staff development in‑services concerning assessment, instruction, and intervention strategies. Assist schools in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions. Communicate clearly and appropriately and make independent decisions within established policies and procedures. Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with ESD and local district staff. Prepare accountability records regarding services provided. Participate in professional growth activities. Comply with local district and ESD rules and policies. Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation. Perform job‑related tasks as designated by the supervisor. MINIMUM PREREQUISITES: Oregon Personnel Services license with School Psychologist endorsement. Master's degree in school/educational psychology from an accredited college or university. LOCATION: In person, at assigned school(s). LENGTH OF POSITION: 6.0 FTE / 190 days (academic year) SALARY: Per Collective Bargaining Agreement: $36,592.40 - $62,990.17 annually for the 2025‑2026 school year. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Department Administrator SOESD BENEFITS (for 0.50 FTE and over): Southern Oregon ESD contributes up to $2,114.00 per month (family coverage) for health, dental, and vision insurance premiums for qualified employees.
