Lifeguard PositionKankakee Country Club, located in Kankakee, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Lifeguard! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Compensation: $15 per hourKey Responsibilities of the Lifeguard:Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safetyAdministers first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmersMaintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showersAssists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by department managerEnforces the rules of conductPerforms pool maintenance to include checking chemicals and pool vacuumingChecks the first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely fashionOrganizes and monitors pool games at all times and suggests pool-side gamesSkims bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use and empties the automatic skimmerCleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the dayMaintains all necessary records determined by the department managerIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceMinimum Qualifications for the Lifeguard:Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experienceCPR, First Aid Certification, and various Water Safety/Instructor Certifications requiredOther Qualifications:Regular and reliable attendanceKnowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codesBenefits for Qualified Associates:MedicalDentalVisionPTO401(k)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)About TroonFounded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world's largest professional club management company that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
