Reports to: Director - Forecasting & Planning


Hours Available: M-F 8:30 am-5:30 pm EST (1 hour lunch break)

Physical Address: 1953 Langston Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730

Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the planning, administrative, and system-driven activities that support daily manufacturing operations. This role serves as a critical partner to the Forecasting & Planning department by ensuring raw material availability, accurate product costing, schedule alignment, and ERP data integrity.

Essential Functions (included but not limited to):
  • Review monthly manufacturing forecasts and translate them into weekly actionable production and material planning inputs for two locations.
  • Procure raw materials in alignment with production schedules, inventory targets, and cost requirements.
  • Refine weekly manufacturing schedules, for two locations, based on forecast changes, material availability, and capacity considerations.
  • Generate, release, and manage work orders through completion, including verification of inventory availability and system transactions.
  • Conduct routine audits of BOMs, work orders, and finished goods to ensure accurate cost attribution and margin integrity.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities for materials, components, and operational supplies used in manufacturing and warehouse operations.
  • Monitor manufacturing KPIs and collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Planning, Finance, and Operations to maintain operational alignment.
  • Maintain ERP data integrity by executing and auditing material, inventory, and production transactions.
  • Identify and implement administrative and system process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and reliability within manufacturing operations.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.

Skills:
  • Demonstrated aptitude in manufacturing administration, production planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly work order management, inventory control, and purchasing.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Assemblies, backflushing, and manufacturing cost tracking.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment.
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English literate and proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required
Preferred Education/Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or manufacturing administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with foam, fibers, threads, and packaging materials strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance processes and manufacturing standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Familiarity with NeSuite is a plus
  • Familiarity with BEDGEAR products and brand is a plus.
