Food Service Aide

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Functions: Set up and maintain the serving area in a clean and orderly manner prior to, during and after meal service. Complies with food service sanitation standards and proper food handling techniques. Acquaints self with the meal pattern for National School Lunch Program or a la carte choices. Adheres to proper portioning guidelines of all items served. Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assists with assorted food preparation using proper procedures for food preparation and handling as directed by Management. Correctly operates food service equipment. Applies proper maintenance procedures when cleaning equipment. Reports equipment malfunctions to Management. Sets up and maintains the serving area in a clean and orderly manner prior to , during and after meal service. Takes and records temperatures of food to ensure safe temperature zones prior to service per the HACCP book. Maintains equipment temperature logs as assigned and reports temperatures outside of designated zones to Management. Washes and sanitizes serving area, utensils, and other items as assigned. Dates and puts away stock. Rotates stock according to FIFO (first in First out) method. May be asked to assist with inventory. Shelf to Sheet style. Adheres to uniform requirements at all times. Adheres to proper time record keeping policies and procedures. Adheres to TAHER INC, and client policies and procedures. Performs all related and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management and required at facility within scope of work. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Professional Requirements: Adapts to changing situations. Communicates clearly with others. Conducts themself in a professional manner. Is courteous, polite, and respectful. Maintains a clean uniform and good personal hygiene. Provides exceptional guest service. Remains calm under pressure. Shows good judgment in decision-making. Physical Demands: Medium physically demanding work. Regularly lift up to 30 pounds; May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Walking, standing, twisting, pulling, stretching. Educational/Professional Certifications: High School diploma/GED - preferred 1 year food handling experience - preferred.
