Clinical Psychologist

Contra Costa Health is currently looking to fill 4 part-time Clinical Psychologist Positions in a variety of county programs which include Detention Health, the Conservatorship/Guardianship Program, and/or Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health County Clinics. The positions serve an adult population and may involve supervision of adult evidence-based practices and/or neuropsychological assessment, depending on assignment and expertise. We are looking for someone who: Has integrity Is flexible Is optimistic Is humble Is compassionate Is intelligent Is analytical What you will typically be responsible for: Provide evidence-based psychological assessment (neuropsychological assessment experience preferred), diagnosis, and treatment to adults. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and carry out coordinated, client-centered treatment plans. Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments and support clinical decision-making related to safety planning, crisis response, and level of care. Deliver clinical supervision and consultation to trainees and unlicensed clinicians in accordance with California licensure and training requirements. Ensure high-quality clinical documentation and compliance with Medi-Cal, county, and program standards. Contribute to program improvement, implementation of evidence-based practices, and system-level behavioral health initiatives. Participate in multidisciplinary case consultation. The eligible list established from this recruitment may remain in effect for six months. License Required: 1) Possession of a Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Out of state valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license will be accepted during the application process. 2) Possession of a valid license as a Psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology. Education: Possession of a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited educational institution. Experience: One (1) year of full-time, or its equivalent, experience providing psychological and behavioral health services in a medical setting or specialty behavioral health unit. This one (1) year may include pre or postdoctoral experience. Additional Requirement: For positions allocated to Hospital and Health Centers, clinical psychologists shall be credentialed and privileged by Medical Staff Credentials Committee. For positions allocated to Behavioral Health Services, clinical psychologists shall be credentialed and privileged by Behavioral Health Services Provider Services.
