Swing Shift Warehouse Supervisor - TJ Sheehan

Objective: The Swing Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations during the assigned swing shift, ensuring accurate order selection, efficient product handling, and timely preparation of delivery vehicles for the following business day.

This position provides leadership to warehouse personnel, coordinates daily workflows, monitors productivity and inventory accuracy, and maintains a safe and organized work environment. The Swing Shift Warehouse Supervisor works closely with Operations leadership to support operational efficiency, employee performance, and consistent execution of warehouse procedures.

Pay Range : $56,000-$70,000 annually depending on experience

Shift : 2:00PM-11:00PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Shift Management

• Oversee daily warehouse operations during the assigned swing shift to ensure efficient and accurate completion of assigned work
• Direct workflow for warehouse associates, order selectors, forklift operators, and other assigned personnel
• Coordinate order selection, product replenishment, loading, and unloading activities to meet operational deadlines
• Ensure delivery vehicles are accurately loaded and prepared for the following day’s routes
• Monitor warehouse productivity and implement adjustments to improve workflow and operational efficiency
• Ensure proper use of warehouse management systems, including voice-pick applications and other operational technology
• Coordinate staffing and equipment needs to support daily warehouse operations
• Communicate shift priorities, operational challenges, and outstanding work to the appropriate management team

Leadership & Employee Development

• Supervise and provide direction to assigned warehouse personnel
• Establish clear performance expectations and promote accountability, teamwork, and productivity
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed
• Communicate daily safety, service, and productivity expectations to warehouse personnel
• Assist with employee scheduling, staffing plans, and workload distribution
• Identify training needs and support the development of warehouse employees
• Address employee performance concerns and coordinate with Operations management and Human Resources as appropriate

Inventory Management & Quality Control

• Ensure accurate order selection, product handling, and loading in accordance with company standards
• Verify that bulk orders, liquor orders, and other designated shipments are properly selected and loaded
• Monitor product rotation and code-date compliance to maintain product freshness
• Identify, document, and report product breakage, shortages, and inventory discrepancies
• Coordinate with Inventory Control to resolve product and shipment concerns
• Ensure proper storage and organization of products throughout the warehouse
• Maintain quality control standards to minimize product damage and delivery errors

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
• Monitor proper use of forklifts, pallets jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Ensure employees follow safe lifting, stacking, loading, and material-handling practices
• Identify and communicate equipment defects, maintenance needs, and operational safety concerns
• Ensure workplace accidents, injuries, and incidents are documented and reported promptly
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safe access throughout work areas

Operational Reporting & Cross-Functional Communication

• Maintain accurate shift records, productivity reports, and operational documentation
• Communicate staffing concerns, equipment needs, inventory discrepancies, and operational challenges to management
• Coordinate with Delivery, Inventory Control, and other departments to support timely and accurate product distribution
• Participate in Operations meetings and support the implementation of updated procedures and process improvements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics required
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience in beverage distribution or consumer goods warehouse preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, order selection, and loading procedures
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements
• Experience with warehouse management systems, including VIP or similar beverage distribution software, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and Google Workspace
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing operational demands
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout warehouse and loading dock environments
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching during warehouse operations
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and stacking of beverage cases and warehouse materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Occasional pushing and pulling of products or materials using approved material-handling equipment
• Regular movement throughout active warehouse areas, including loading docks, storage locations, and product selection areas
• Occasional operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as authorized and properly trained
• Exposure to varying temperatures, warehouse noise, moving equipment, and active loading dock environments
• Ability to work swing shift hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours as operational needs require
