Job Description

The Preop/PACU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care for individuals undergoing procedures within the hospital, including those receiving general anesthesia. This role requires both preoperative and postoperative patient management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition pre- and post-operation.
• Administer medications, including anesthesia, as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to discuss patient care and recovery plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech Expanse documentation system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of New Hampshire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
• Experience in critical care or PACU settings is highly desirable.
