We provide the behind-the-scenes infrastructure — a nationwide licensed provider network, white-label technology, compliance frameworks, pharmacy integration, and business consulting — that allows brands, marketers, e-commerce companies, influencers, and healthcare businesses to launch and scale compliant telehealth offerings without the operational complexity.
Scriptful is LegitScript-certified, covers all 50 states, and serves a fast-growing portfolio of partners across wellness, weight management, hormone health, and other high-demand care categories. We're not a vendor. We are business partners, operators, and growth experts who build for the long term.
The Opportunity
Scriptful is seeking its first Chief Operating Officer to take ownership of the company's operational engine and help scale the business to its next stage of growth. This is a founding executive leadership role that will define how Scriptful runs, from partner onboarding and platform delivery to compliance operations and cross-functional team performance.
Working directly with the CEO (Bill Peebles) and the CRO (Shay Hutchison), the COO will translate Scriptful's ambitious growth vision into structured, scalable systems and high-performing teams. You will own the operations that make Scriptful's promise real for every partner we serve.
This is a builder's role. You will have the authority, the team, and the mandate to make Scriptful operationally excellent at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Own the full operational lifecycle of Scriptful's service delivery — from partner onboarding and provider coordination to pharmacy integration and ongoing account management.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve operational systems, workflows, and SOPs that support rapid partner growth without sacrificing quality or compliance.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across all operational functions; hold teams accountable to performance targets and drive a culture of measurable results.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, escalations, and systemic risks before they impact partners or patients.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operational leadership team, including VP Platform Operations, Customer Success, and Compliance.
- Foster a high-performance, mission-driven culture where ownership, speed, and integrity are expected — not aspirational.
- Build out the organizational structure needed to support Scriptful's growth, including hiring plans, role definitions, and career development frameworks.
- Serve as a key culture carrier for the company, modelling the entrepreneurial and partner-first values that define how Scriptful operates.
Partner & Platform Success
- Work closely with the CRO to ensure seamless handoff from business development to operational delivery — every new partner should be onboarded fast, correctly, and at scale.
- Oversee the partner experience from contract signing through platform launch and ongoing optimization, ensuring retention and expansion across the partner portfolio.
- Collaborate with the technology and product teams to drive platform improvements that enhance operational efficiency and partner outcomes.
- Act as a senior point of escalation for complex partner relationships, applying sound judgment and Scriptful's values to every resolution.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure that all operational processes adhere to federal and state healthcare regulations, including telehealth prescribing laws, HIPAA, and LegitScript standards.
- Partner with the Medical Director and Compliance team to build and maintain a compliance-first operating culture across all 50 states.
- Proactively identify regulatory changes and operational risks, developing mitigation plans before exposure becomes impact.
- Maintain audit-readiness across all operational domains and support any regulatory review or certification processes.
Strategy & Executive Leadership
- Serve as a full member of Scriptful's executive leadership team, contributing to company strategy, product direction, and investment decisions.
- Translate the CEO's vision into annual operational plans, quarterly priorities, and clear team-level objectives.
- Prepare and present operational reporting to the CEO and, where applicable, to investors or board-level stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for new service lines, operational efficiencies, and partnership structures that drive long-term growth.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior operations role (COO, VP Operations, Head of Operations, or equivalent).
- Proven track record of scaling operations in a high-growth startup, healthtech, telehealth, SaaS, or technology-enabled services environment.
- Deep understanding of healthcare compliance, telehealth regulations, or regulated service delivery — experience in prescription-based or telemedicine businesses is a significant asset.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong systems thinker with hands-on experience designing and implementing operational processes that actually stick at scale.
- Excellent communicator — you can translate complexity into clarity for teams, partners, and the C-suite with equal effectiveness.
- Comfortable working in a founder-led company where speed matters, ambiguity is normal, and the ability to make confident decisions with imperfect information is essential.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder environments, including partner/client relationships, provider networks, or white-label service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in healthcare administration, operations, or a related field is a plus.
