Learn more about our Transformation Story here: Who we are What You Will Do Ferroglobe has an immediate opening for a dedicated Plant Laborer to join operations team. This role is crucial for the daily operations, providing hands-on support in various tasks related to the processing and handling of materials. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking individual who values safety, teamwork, and is committed to contributing to the efficient operation of our facility. Material Handling: Safely operate and manage the equipment used for unloading and transporting materials such as sand, lime, etc. Equipment Operation: Utilize a variety of heavy machinery and equipment such as lift-truck, skid steer, pay loader, and shovels, following all safety protocols and operational guidelines. Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance checks and cleaning of machinery and work areas to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Participate in safety training sessions and drills. Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs. Report any issues to supervisors promptly. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks. Communicate effectively to report progress or concerns. What We Seek High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus. Previous experience in a labor-intensive role, preferably in heavy industrial or construction environment. Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate heavy machinery and equipment. Strong commitment to safety and understanding of workplace safety regulations. Physical fitness and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditions and environments. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
