Registered Nurse, PACU

Registered Nurse (RN) PACU – Part‑time position at North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health. We are seeking a dedicated RN to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in our Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Responsibilities Performs plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assesses learning needs and delivers age‑/culture‑appropriate patient and family education. Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on‑call. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Basic Life Support certification required within 14 days of hire.
