Clinical Rater

Job Title: Clinical Rater (Nurse Practitioner) – Freelance, Detroit MI Engagement Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor Location: Detroit, Michigan (on-site) Commitment: Up to 20 hours per week Duration: Long-term project Overview We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work as a Clinical Rater on a long-term clinical research study based in Detroit, Michigan. This role focuses on administering psychometric rating scales as part of ongoing patient assessments. It's a freelance position offering flexible, part-time hours (up to 20 per week) with the potential for sustained involvement over the life of the project. Key Responsibilities Administer standardized psychometric rating scales accurately and consistently in line with study protocol Conduct structured clinical interviews and assessments with study participants Maintain inter-rater reliability and adhere to scoring guidelines Document ratings and findings in accordance with GCP and study-specific requirements Liaise with the site's clinical and research team to coordinate scheduling and assessment timelines Ensure participant comfort and confidentiality throughout the rating process Candidate Requirements Active Nurse Practitioner license (Michigan) Background in psychology or psychiatric/mental health nursing strongly preferred Prior experience with psychometric or psychiatric rating scales (e.g., HAM-D, PANSS, MADRS, YMRS or similar) highly desirable Comfortable working independently in a freelance capacity Strong attention to detail and consistency in scoring/documentation Based in or able to reliably commute to Detroit, MI What's on Offer Freelance/contractor terms with flexible scheduling Up to 20 hours per week Long-term, ongoing project with ability to build ongoing freelance rater work
