Join Our Team as a Gastroenterologist

Our organization is actively seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to enhance our Division of Gastroenterology. While a focus on General GI is preferred, we are open to candidates with additional specialized skills.

Your clinical responsibilities will primarily involve outpatient care, with a balanced distribution between clinic visits and endoscopic procedures at both the hospital and an ambulatory surgery center. You will also be expected to engage in teaching fellows, residents, and students. We will provide mentorship and dedicated time for your professional development.

Our Division comprises 18 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, specializing in areas such as therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility, and genetics. The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is expanding, with faculty practicing at various locations, including the University Hospital and Riverside County hospital. This role will primarily be based at the University site, focusing on education for fellows and residents. Our faculty includes nationally recognized experts in hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, and IBD, fostering a collegial environment dedicated to patient care and education.

Faculty members in the Department of Medicine are encouraged to pursue academic interests through teaching and research, as well as to provide care to underserved populations through partnerships with local health systems. The region boasts a low cost of living and excellent educational institutions. Faculty members may also qualify for federal student loan forgiveness programs.

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $450,000 to $525,000, depending on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
