USPI's East Portland Surgery Center is looking for a full time Registered Nurse Procedure Room to join our team! East Portland Surgery Center is one of Portland's leading multi-specialty surgery centers, performing cases in pain management, GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT & Spine. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Procedure Room is responsible for all patient care in the Procedure Room and working with the physician to deliver a successful procedure and outcome for the patient.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include The Following:

• Managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc.
• Administers medication as ordered by physician, following the Moderate Sedation policy
• Safely monitors and documents care of patients undergoing Moderate Sedation in accordance with policy and procedure and guidelines of care.

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license and can practice in Oregon
• 2 + years experience in Procedure Room
• 4+ years RN experience
• Experience in basic and advanced procedures and IV sedation experience
• Experience with medical outpatient procedures
• BLS and ACLS accredited by AHA required
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
