We evaluate and evolve our offerings, so our people receive the support and empowerment to do meaningful things for their lives, careers, and communities.Essential FunctionOur Material Coordinators at Silfex perform day-to-day shipping and receiving activities with excellence ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials to our internal as well as external customers.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform repetitive assembly of Silfex products into complete packages in accordance with work instructionsProcess incoming goods by verifying quantities against purchase orders or invoices, performing a high level inspection for serviceability and executing the applicable procedure for receipt of goodsFacilitate transfer of incoming goods to the originator in a timely mannerPerform transactions in the ERP system to ensure accurate inventory and tracking of products, raw materials and other supplies and consumablesLiaison with manufacturing and other support functions to ensure all areas are appropriately suppliedOperate forklift to facilitate movement of goods into and out of the facilityEnsure cleanliness of the area; perform general and routine housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe environmentMaintain daily records, manual and/or electronic that capture daily individual productivityMaintain applicable records to comply with government regulationsPerform other duties as assignedCultureDisplay a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities. Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED)Minimum of 1 - 2 years experienceAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosAbility to assess drawings, and specifications for assembling parts and inspect for proper fit.Ability to earn a forklift certificationComputer skills must include the basic - Standard computer hardware and software, Internet, Email, Word Processing, SpreadsheetsMust be safety and quality mindedMust be detail orientedMust be able to work effectively individually and in a team environmentAbility to adapt quickly to changing pace of work in the areaMust be able to perform successfully under minimum supervisionGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to wear a respirator and meet OSHA respirator compliance obligationsForklift Certification or certification to operate other powered industrial vehiclePrior warehousing/material handling experiencePrior experience with data entry into an ERP system.Physical DemandsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
