Specialist Team Leader

Description Of Service Opportunity The role of the Grade Level Team Leader is to lead grade level teams in regular collaborative planning, data analysis, and instructional improvement; engage as an active participant on a school leadership team (e.g. LT, ILT, MTSS, FAC); and provide support for school improvement efforts in teaching and learning. Prepare for and facilitate a weekly Grade Level Team in collaborative planning, data analysis, and instructional improvement focusing on school‑based instructional practices such as FAR Cycle, Responsive Classroom, and Wayfinder. Maintain records of team meetings (agendas, notes, action plans, etc.) that are organized and accessible to team members. Learn about the PLC process and facilitation during PD through formal and supportive training, self‑study, reflection, discussion and dialogue. Represent Grade Level Team colleagues on a school leadership team (e.g. LT, ILT, MTSS, FAC) and communicate updates to team members. Work with the school principal and others to support a positive and collaborative inquiry‑based culture. Minimum Requirements Excellent communication skills. Willingness to learn. Positive approach and growth mindset. Time and commitment to be present at meetings. Interest in facilitating colleagues in collaborative planning, data analysis, and professional learning. Currently certified in the content area that is being taught. Committed to the most up-to-date curriculum and instruction methodology.
