Internal Medicine Hospitalist Department: The Department

Reports To: Clinical Leadership 1. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides inpatient hospitalist care within a hospital employed model. The physician will join an established hospitalist team and manage adult medical inpatients in a modern acute care facility with a Level II Trauma Center. The role features block scheduling and opportunities for additional compensated shifts. 2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive inpatient internal medicine hospitalist care
• Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital
• Participate in block scheduling with 12 hour shifts
• Option to work additional paid shifts
• Maintain accurate documentation within the organization s industry standard EMR
• Support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives 3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine 4. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (None stated)5. COMPETENCIES • Clinical expertise in inpatient internal medicine
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong diagnostic and decision making skills in acute care settings

• Ability to collaborate within a hospital based care model 6. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient hospitalist services in a Level II Trauma Center
