Insurance Account Specialist – Full-Time

Location: Hurricane, UT

Pay: $50,000–$65,000+ per year (Base Pay + Commission & Bonuses)

We’re a local, independently owned insurance agency in Hurricane, Utah looking for a dependable, motivated Insurance Account Specialist to join our team.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and helping customers. The position combines customer service, account management, and sales opportunities . You’ll primarily help take care of our existing customers while also assisting our sales team and having opportunities to earn additional commission by identifying and helping customers with their insurance needs.

What We Offer

• Hourly base pay of $16–$18/hour , depending on experience and licensing
• Commission and bonus opportunities will get you to 25-30/ hour
• Expected first year total earning potential of approximately $50,000–$65,000+
• Annual performance bonus opportunity

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Account Management

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist walk-in customers
• Provide friendly, professional service to current customers
• Assist customers with policy questions, changes, payments, documentation, and general account needs
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding forms, signatures, documents, and other policy requirements
• Manage Social Media Accounts and be involved with making reels and posts
• Contact customers regarding late or past-due payments and help them keep their policies in good standing
• Build relationships with customers and provide a high level of follow-through
• Help make sure customer requests and outstanding service items are completed accurately and on time

Customer Coverage Reviews & Sales Opportunities

• Contact existing customers to review and verify their current insurance coverage
• Identify potential gaps or missing insurance needs and help customers understand available coverage options
• Quote and assist with additional policies when appropriate
• Earn commission on qualifying new business and additional policies
• Help customers make informed insurance decisions without using a high-pressure sales approach

Sales Team Support

• Assist our current sales lead with incoming leads and new-business opportunities
• Help follow up on leads when additional support is needed
• Assist with past-due sales tasks and follow-ups that provide additional commission opportunities
• Help ensure prospective customers receive timely follow-up and a positive experience with our office
• Work together with the sales team to help the agency meet its growth and customer-service goals

General Office Support

• Help keep day-to-day office operations organized
• Complete occasional miscellaneous office tasks as needed, such as taking outgoing mail to the post office
• Assist other team members when necessary to make sure customers are taken care of

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, personable, organized, and comfortable talking with customers . You don't need to be an aggressive salesperson, but you should be comfortable recognizing opportunities to help customers with additional insurance products and asking for the business when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Dependable and able to follow through on assigned tasks
• Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and in person
• Able to stay organized and manage multiple customer needs
• Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities
• Must be willing and able to obtain required insurance licenses
• Must be able to pass applicable background/licensing requirements
• Previous insurance, customer service, office, or sales experience is a plus

Spanish-speaking applicants are highly preferred.

Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health licensing is a major plus. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing to obtain the required licenses.
