UH Population Health is a university-wide enterprise thatadvances population health through research, education, communitypartnerships, and the translation of scientific discovery intomeasurable health benefit. Working across disciplines and sectors,UH Population Health develops and supports programs that strengthenresearch capacity, accelerate the implementation and scale-up ofevidence-based approaches, develop the next generation ofpopulation health leaders, and address complex chronic disease andpopulation health challenges. Its work emphasizes collaboration,innovation, and building sustainable institutional and communitycapabilities that improve health at scale Reviews and submits proposals to external funding sources;initiates the creation of cost centers according to awarded projectterms and conditions and modifies cost centers according to revisedaward notices. Provides guidance and expertise to faculty, departmentadministrators and university executives on a wide variety ofgrants and contracts issues. 3. Responsible for customer problemreview and resolution for research administration team. Develops and implements internal operating procedures forassigned team; coordinates the work activities of assigned team andprovides work direction as needed. Maintains web-based proposal submission and researchadministration using electronic research administrationsystems. Negotiates the terms and conditions of grants and sub-recipientawards with potential sponsors and awardees and reviews contractsin conjunction with the Research Contracts Officer. Research sponsor's financial and administrative regulationsapplicable to funded projects. 8. Evaluates expenditure reallocation documents according tofederal, state and university guidelines for allowability,appropriateness and timeliness. 9. Performs other job-relatedduties as assigned. MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical andpractical aspects of an analytical, technical or professionaldiscipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professionaldiscipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtainedthrough a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a collegeor university or an equivalent in-depth specialized trainingprogram that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directlyjob-related experience.
