RN Clinical Leader - Med Surg Tele

Job Description Summary The Clinical Leader PCLM provides leadership and coordinates the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, services, processes, and systems within the responsible area. The role ensures quality, service, customer satisfaction, continual improvement, resource efficiency, and financial performance, and meets productivity standards. Responsibilities and Duties 75% Performs clinical operation and supervisory duties to ensure quality services and client satisfaction; serves as a direct care provider when needed, maintaining recognized standards of clinical practice. Coordinates interdisciplinary team integration to achieve effective patient outcomes, efficient resource utilization, and patient satisfaction. Directs, delegates, and/or engages in treatment of patients and families to achieve optimal health outcomes. Acts as a central resource person and maintains open, accurate communication for all customers. Creates efficient schedules for staff and patients to assure appropriate skill mix. Establishes systems and processes in collaboration with leadership to ensure smooth operations, safety, patient satisfaction, and effective service delivery. 10% Participates in recruitment activities and performs staff development. Acts as a clinical resource for interdisciplinary staff and facilitates learning. Appraises staff performance and provides formal and informal feedback, goal setting, and ongoing supervision. Ensures appropriate orientation. Communicates with staff through regularly scheduled meetings, memos, and educational updates. 10% Participates in unit and hospital-based committees and initiatives to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes. Performs departmental audits. Rounds daily on patients and associates to gather information about the patient experience and associate satisfaction. Provides real-time feedback and coaching to associates on meeting patient and family needs. Acts as a communication liaison for students and vendor representatives. 5% Assists the direct manager with maintaining and identifying budget needs through cost-effective practice. Assures efficient use of departmental resources.
