MBIO28- Project Administrator - 0.3 FTE, 24 months FTC We are pleased to invite applications for a Senior Bioinformatician/Senior Lecturer to join the Centre for Innovation in Genomics and Microbiome Sciences (CIGMiS) at the University of West London. CIGMiS is a centre of excellence dedicated to addressing complex system‑wide questions in microbiome science to improve public health outcomes. The post will involve participating in an international, interdisciplinary consortium project investigating ancient medical sources and innovative modern techniques, including microbial genomics, bioinformatics, AI and machine learning. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with colleagues at Royal Holloway University of London and research partners in Italy, France, and Armenia. Design experiments, conduct sequencing, and perform data analysis. Interpret results and prepare manuscripts for publication. Coordinate project activities and manage timelines. Train students and international partners. Engage actively with external collaborators and participate in overseas travel as part of the research programme. Qualifications PhD in a relevant field with a demonstrable track record of research. Extensive experience and expertise in genomics, bioinformatics, AI, and machine learning. Numeracy and literacy at secondary education level (or equivalent experience). Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint. Good knowledge of Armenian.
